Kampung Boy Goes London

London...

Before this it was only uttered full of awe...wondering will i be there some day...hahaha...seems like now i can say that i had been there...and love it...

It was during the Summer of 2009...close to my birthday...but no...i didn't managed to celebrate my birthday in London...but i had my early celebration anyway...hahaha...instead of staying in hotel...we opted for apartment...for one thing it was more affordable...not to mention much more comfortable...except that you won't have all those services offered only in hotels...but i can live without it...why pay more...hahaha...

London was expensive...still is...mostly due to currency exchange...but then again...its an interesting city...very characteristic...full of immigrants too...

The apartment we rented was in the middle of the city...in Marble Arch...5 mins walk to the famous Oxford Street...hahaha...but no...i didn't go shopping...maybe me back in 2009 was not so into it...that's explained why i didn't went to Bicester Village...hahaha...as if...Hyde Park was within walking distance...its easy to find halal food as the area was full of middle eastern immigrants...they even have malaysian restaurants along the street too...much to my surprise...Subway Sandwich was 1 mins walk from the apartment with big HALAL sign plastered on the window...London is never short of halal foods...no worries about that...

Went off to Big Ben...the Parliament Building...Westminster Abbey...these there places was within shouting distance from each other...seriously i can just shout from Big Ben and people in Westminster Abbey can hear me just fine...hahaha...10 mins walk and you'll reach the pigeon filled Trafalgar Square...cross the Thames River from and you'll reach London Eyes...

London is incomplete without the visit to London Bridge...actually its Tower Of London Bridge as my cousin eloquently explained...but what the heck...the whole world recognised it as London Bridge...i'll just stick to London Bridge...its also near Tower Of London...Buckingham Palace...owh yeah...must see...the guards exchange in the mid afternoon...it was cool...having those guards marching out from their respective guardspot to be replace with another...another highlight of London...HARRODS...its a must do in London...even only just for a single pic in front...

London is indeed another ultimate city to go at least once in one's lifetime...i been there once...insya allah i'll be there again...

i loveeeeee london. everytime i gi london, i will always learn a new thing about this incredible city. there was this restaurant called "makan" and jamiroquoi (or however to spell his name) suka makan kat situ. but never really eaten there lah. tempat dia agak tersorok and taktaulah kalau masih ada.

i miss my kampung huhu.
