It's Kilt...Not Skirts...Only in Scotland

Early summer 2009...

Cool weather...not too hot neither its too cold...just nice...Scotland had always been in the list ever since i watched Braveheart...beautiful countryside...ancient city...but not that ancient...

Scotland are popular with its castles...the medieval ones...its nothing like the grande ones in France or other parts of Europe for that matter...its different and provide one with different view and architecture...the one that we managed to go was Edinburgh castle which was built on top of the hill...from the castle one can see the ocean and also the city...one can see every part of the city from different points...its also kinda big to explore...one will have sore feet trying to go up and down the castle complex...but its worth it...

Had unbelievable experience as well...we were given parking ticket...not because we didn't pay the parking ticket...but because we mistakenly paid it at the booth that was designated for bus...which i have to say...the indication that its an autopay booth for bus was written 'so big'...puhlesss...seriously one have to be extremely particular to read it if...it was stated somewhere on the booth...owh...one will understand when they see it...went to the city hall...told the nice lady there...and she said...its normal if we missed it...so we wrote a letter of apology to have it waive...hurmmm...luckily...

We made a quick stop for picnic in Hollie Island...it was demmm cold...the teeth were shattering from being frozen...but it was a nice spot near to the sea...and there's also a castle within the view...seriously cool...and cold too...also Alnwick Castle...the castle where they filmed Harry Potter movies...technically its not in Scotland...but its on the way...from England to Scotland...hehehe...

One more thing that is totally Scotland that can't be found in any other part of the world...is the men's clothing...no men other than Scots men are brave enough to wear it...it bears a striking resemblance to a skirt...but its no skirt...they will be offended if you call it skirt...owh kay...if one is asking for a bruise or two try to call it skirt to a Scots men's face...can't imagine that...hehehe...

Another country cross out from the list...but kinda itching to go back...haven't got the chance to go to Glasgow and the famous Loch Ness...perhaps next time...and have to keep in mind whenever Scots men in their traditional clothes are in view that...it's kilt...not skirts...only in Scotland...
