Eurotrip 2012 : KL - Paris - Brussels - Amsterdam - Geneva - Manchester - London - KL

After much hassle...its finally on...its all set...its all over 2 weeks...the itinerary is simple...fly in...train out...train out...fly out...fly out...train out....train out...fly back...lets see...its going to be 4 times of flying and 4 times of trains...cool huh...basically its all comes down to just the travel buddies...the budget was set at the maximum of EUR1,400 ~ RM6,000 per person all in...when i mentioned all in...it includes everything...except for personal shopping that is...lets see the plan...

Fly via Airasia X to the romantic city of Paris...then take Thalys train to the one and only waffles and chocolate of Brussels...from then on take another Thalys train to sinful city of Amsterdam...hehehe...then fly via Easyjet to the expensive city of Geneva...fly again to one of my favorite city of London...took the Virgin train to football city of Manchester...same Virgin train back to London...finally depart from Gatwick to fly back to Kuala Lumpur...that's just about it...

As for the accommodation...in Paris there's this nice hotel near Gare Du Nord that was within the budget...and its also an easy access to the metro line as it will be more convenient to use metro to go to the places that matters in Paris...also its going to be relatively easy to check out from the hotel as the train to Brussels Midi depart from this particular train station...

For Brussels...there's this nice little hotel in between Brussels Midi station and Grand Place...as it going to still be winter time there's no problem of going foot...furthermore...Brussels is kinda enjoyable on food...especially in Grand Place...where every corner of the street smells of waffles and chocolates...yummy...also for the exactly the same reason...its going to be easy to go to the train station to catch the next train to Amsterdam...we have yet to receive a reply from the owner of the boathouse in Amsterdam...going to try something else in Amsterdam...going to stay in this boathouse near the Amsterdam Central rather than staying in a hotel or hostel for that matter...and its quite reasonably priced...also there's kitchen in the boathouse...so its going to be an entirely different experience...hehehe...

There's a connecting train from Amsterdam Central to Schipol Airport...as we are going to fly in to Geneva...since the arrival time will be a bit late at nite...we'll be staying in Etap Hotel Geneva as it was stated in the web that the distance is only 15 mins walk...and furthermore...its probably one of the cheapest hotel in the whole Geneva...but for the very next day...check out and check in City Hostel in the town area...as traveller who are staying in Geneva hotels or hostels are entitled to a complimentary public transport card for the entire stay...cool huh...that's going to save us a few euros or swiss franc...also the hostel has this common kitchen where anyone can cook...another added advantage...

When we first bought the flight to London...we didn't anticipate the probability of going to Manchester...therefore its kinda daunting when it kinda squeezed into the list...coz if we know it sooner...we might as well just fly to Manchester from Geneva...but its okay...we had done all those ticketing matters...we just take a train from London then...take Easybus from the airport to Baker Street...go to the underground train to Euston station and take Virgin train to Manchester Picadilly...then came back to London the same way...go to all those attractions in London...and of course...a shopping spree trip to Bicester Village is a must...then fly back to Kuala Lumpur from Gatwick...

Overall we had done with all the ticket purchase and most of the accommodations...all its left to do now just counting the days...finally it is all set...can't wait...
