When In Rome

One word...Colosseum...enough said...

The famous piece of architecture known through out the world...its in the city of Rome or the locals known it as Roma...Rome does not have snow...at least that we know of...but its cold enough to make one's teeth shatters...at least in the winter season...

Prior to going there...we were being told and told again to beware when we are in Rome as there were cons and pickpockets everywhere...and for a minute we thought they have that all around the world...taking care of oneself is a must...also taking care of the ladies in tow...

Transportation in Rome is rather affordable...at least compared to Japan...it doesn't have the extensive rail network like Japan has but at least the rail system connects to the places that matters...among the must see spots in Rome are the Colosseum (a must and one might say you did not complete Rome if its left out)...St. Pietro...Vatican City...Castle St. Angelo...Barberini...Fontana De Trevi...Pantheon...just to name a few...

To actually save up some money...one can buy Roma Pass for EUR25 that can be used for all public transportation in Rome except for taxi and airport transfer...free entrance to the first two historical spots if we remember correctly except for Vatican City...and 50% for the subsequent entrance...

Free wi-fi is a rare case...so when we found one...we tend to stick together at one place and update whatever needs to be updated...hahaha...Rome also does not lack in the shopping department...hehehe...of coz...its one of Malaysian's favorite pass time activity...among the significant is Via De Corso...the long stretch of shopping streets from the Palpolo whatever up to the Parliament building...it was the interchange season between winter to spring...so there's sale...and of coz...being one of the countries in Europe...sale is indeed SALE!!!

One of the must go for any Malaysians in any part of the world will be the Hard Rock Cafe...it was somewhere in the elite area of Barberini...just a few hundred meters walk from the Barberini station and there you are...HRC Rome...we meant it when we said its an indeed a Malaysian must see spot as we indeed bumped into another fellow Malaysians there...hurmmm...

Halal food is also quite easy to find...especially around the Termini train station...so no need to sweat for there's always halal food around...but usually limited to all those kebab and falafels...aiiishhh (-_-")...but one can always opted for seafood restaurants or vegetarian pasta...that will be good enough...

Indeed another city crossed out of the list...another wonders of the world cross out in the list...sometimes we kept thinking...what was it that drove us to go to this particular city...its left unanswered...but once we grow up and might be one day in the future...we might look back and think about all those times...it was when in Rome...
