Eurotrip 2012 : KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Paris-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL or KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Brussels-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL
Owh no...me got starting again...tomorrow is a holiday...Independence Day for Malaysia...yeahhhh...happy 55th Independence Day to all Malaysian...I got stuck in front of my laptop doing nothing else other than continuing with dream on mode...this time around got into 2 routes...the duration is still very much the same...14 December 2012 until 1 January 2013...there's two options in my mind...
KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Paris-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL
KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Brussels-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL...
Both options does comes with its own merit...not much changes...as both routes are almost the same...the difference is only on the 6th point...either Paris or Brussels...ermmmm...by the way...in term of the financial implication...both comes with almost the exact financial implications...only that if we choose Brussels instead of Paris...we will save up RM100 and also perhaps on the accommodations in Brussels as I do know someone in Brussels who will gladly offer lodging...hehehe...perhaps Paris too...but as for Paris...not so sure...but Brussels for sure...
The only possible airlines that can have me stopover in Abu Dhabi is Etihad...as for the connecting flights are via Easyjet and Eurostar...or can choose Lufthansa from Berlin to Budapest...as it cost only EUR49 one way...inclusive of baggage and simple dish...if via Easyjet its about EUR40 one way with luggage minus simple dish...and we have to go to Schnoenefeld airport instead of Tegel airport...
When I first started it up...I only take into consideration on London as the point of entry...since the connecting flights from London is vast...then again...if I really want to go to Budapest...Berlin will be much more suitable point of entry as flight from Berlin to Budapest is much cheaper than from London...furthermore...we had never been to Berlin before...this can be exciting...from Budapest...there's not much choice...as Easyjet is the most convenient connecting flight and does come up with reasonable fares...the possible route are London...Paris...and Geneva...one night in Geneva should be cool enough...as some sort of transit to Amsterdam...based on my friend's experience to Geneva early this year...it is no shoestring traveller destination...but the budget hotel is near enough to the airport as the airport in within the town area...
I don't know anyone in Amsterdam...but I do have a friend in The Hague...based on our little planning...she would love to join in for some sort of shopaholics trip to London...year end...London...owh my bank account...hahaha...unless my friend do managed to settle down in London by the end of the year...we have to find suitable lodging for the stay in London...otherwise...it will be another money saver...hehehe...talking about scaling down the expenses...hehehe...now comes the dilemma...either straight to Brussels...or to Paris...been to both cities...kinda like both cities...but in term of expenses...going to Brussels will save us a few more Euros for sure...eventhough I do know someone in Paris...but I am unsure whether it is wise to crash to their home...ermmm...as for Brussels...all welcomed...hehehe...
From either city to Abu Dhabi will be fine...as a friend of ours is now residing in Dubai...Abu Dhabi is just less than 2 hours drive from Dubai...he is thrilled actually to hear about my plans...home covered...personal tour guide covered...hahaha...all we need to do is just bring ourselves to Abu Dhabi...and he will take it from there...cool huh...
For the accommodations in other cities...I had been browsing through the internet for holiday apartment or homestay...it will save us a lot compared to hotels...that is for sure...since I had been doing that for our previous Eurotrip...in Berlin there's an apartment for less than EUR80 per day...in Budapest can be even lower to EUR60 per day...Etap Hotel in Geneva will cost about EUR80 for 2 people or can choose to stay in the hostel in town for the same price...in Amsterdam its another matter but still can get about EUR80 per day...depending on the location...in London...well as I said before...if my friend settle down before we are there...then it shouldn't be a problem...otherwise GBP80 is expected per day for the stay...Brussels is FOC...as for Paris...ermmm...not sure...Abu Dhabi and Dubai of coz FOC lah...hehehe...
Wahhhh...dreaming mode again...what to do...dream dream dream on and on and on...this should be new route to be considered...back to the choice for this Eurotrip 2012 either its going to be KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Paris-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL or KL-Berlin-Budapest-Geneva-Amsterdam-London-Brussels-Abu Dhabi-Dubai-KL...
