Amsterdam Once More

The first time i went to Amsterdam was a few years ago...didn't really had the chance to explore the city...this time around...its three times...didn't stay in Amsterdam...but just merely weekend in Amsterdam...for three consecutive weekends...errrrr...

What to do in Amsterdam?

Seriously I am not sure...hahaha...so when i am not sure...its just merely sightseeing and walking around the corners of the street...and do some light shopping in between...for souveniers ya...

The canal boat cruise should be a great introduction to Amsterdam...this time around we took the one from in front of Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam...it was roughly 1 hour...which ran through the canals throughout the city...the boat was equipped with commentary of all those monuments throughout the ride...it was an interesting piece of information...but as usual...i prefer to go outside and feel the wind through the boat deck...eventho it was freezing...

Getting around Amsterdam is pretty easy...tram runs throughout the city...just buy the one day pass for EUR7.50...and you can ride all the trams, subway, bus, canal bus for 24 hours...it is 24 hours and not one day...which means it expired 24 hours after the first ride not expired at midnite...it was really convenient...i always admire cities with superb link of public transportation...coz it made it so accessible to go around the city...for some reason...using one day pass is rather cheaper than using the OV-Chipkaart...coz one of my friend used the card and followed us throughout the city and end up with almost EUR10 for the whole ride...whereas ours was only EUR7.50...so she kept that in mind that using day pass is more economical...

I wanted to just rent a bike and go crazy by cycling around the city...but under the weather we were in it was not possible...it will rain like every hour...so taking the public transportation were our best bet against the weather...

For those who are familiar with football won't miss Ajax Amsterdam Stadium...it was reachable by subway ride...about 15 mins from Centraal Station...there were Ajax Fanshop where one can buy all those Ajax goodies...and for unfathomable reason...it is slightly cheaper than those who sold the same items outside of the fanshop...errrr...maybe capitalism started to sink in...hahaha...I was never a fan of Ajax...but after that visit...I am a fan now...hahahaha...unluckily for us...the Ajax Museum was under renovation...huhuhu...but there were Esprit Outlet shop just at the station...and it was damn affordable...errrr...easy to say...my buddies were not empty handed when they walk out of the outlet...hahaha...

Taking picture in from of the big sign of I AMSTERDAM is a must...now there's two of them...one in Schiphol Airport and another one is the original one in front of Rijksmuseum...so go crazy and just take a snap...its one of those snaps that will linger in the memory that said I was in Amsterdam at one point of my life...hahaha...

Amsterdam is actually best discovered on foot...just walk and walk...snap some pictures...drink some coffee and just relax...its not exactly a relaxing city...it was kinda hectic...but...somehow it does feel relaxing...its a bit contradictory i know...but it is...hahaha...

Amsterdam is just as it was the first time i went...nothing has change...they really preserve the city...perhaps there might be change of the store ownership...but the layout of the city is very much the same...coz i can actually find those shops that i had been to before...and i took some pics of the places that i had taken pic before...it just some sort of comparison...that nothing had really change...it was all just the way it was...and i was there in...Amsterdam once more...
