Much Ado About Brussels

Brussels had always been one of my personal favorite...mostly because of the smell of waffles and chocolates that lingers around the air...it was seriously a big temptation one can't resist...hehehe...but it is also kinda expensive as well...

Staying in the hotel that really close to Grand Place is the best location one can stay in Brussels...as Grand Place is basically the center of attraction in Brussels...they have great cafes...many events...nice waffels shops...delicious chocolate shops...all in Grand Place...wuhuuuu...

Anyway...the temperature is about 0 degrees and its also started snowing outside of the town area...they say it was just a matter of time before it will snow in the city as well...it does snow...but too small to be captured in camera...it falls and quickly evaporated...its ok...plenty of snow story after...

Arrived in Brussels...checked in...immediately went out to find food...as i was famished...its easy to find halal food in Brussels as there are a lot of muslims there...but of course as usual...limited to the mid-eastern cuisine...this time it was no exception...still middle-east but with one twist...its eat all you can for EUR12...wachaaa...and eat all i can i was...hahaha...

Done with that...sightseeing on foot from the restaurant to Grand Place...they are having some sort of festival in conjunction with Christmas...so there were a lot of booth that had been set up around the Grand Place area...and also a hideous 'Christmas Tree' which i wouldn't know that it is supposed to be a christmas tree had it nobody told me that it is...maybe its an artistic expression or anything...i'm not sure...i don't know how to appreciate non-understandable art...but it look nice in the picture anyway...but i am sure that no one will know it is suppose to be a Christmas tree...okay fyne...

Went to HRC Brussels and bought my friend the t-shirt as usual...requirement for tax refund in Brussels is a minimum spending of EUR125...errrr...i am not going to spend that much on the t-shirt to get the 10% refund...unless if i have to...which i don't actually...since only 3 of my friends ordered the shirt...the amount was less than the minimum amount spent...so i settled with three and not entitled for the tax refund...no probs...also went to that seriously small mannekin pis in the corner of the street...even the chocolate that was moulded after the mannekin pis is bigger than the mannekin pis itself...errrrr...

That nite we had dinner in this very nice Thai restaurant at the back of the hotel near St. Catherine area...which was the same area where i booked the hotel for Jiana, Amy and Jaja early this year...hehehe...so i took the picture of the hotel and whatsapp them...cool huh...

I indulge myself with Leonidas chocolate and spent more than i should on chocolates...what da hekkk...also the ice-cream was seriously good as it does melt in your mouth (since its winter and its really freezing out there) and the taste goes right to your spot where all your senses shoot up...i tried to find the ice cream in other Leonidas shop after i departed from Brussels but to no avail...that was the only Leonidas shop that has the ice cream...maybe its a blessing in disguise or otherwise i will indulge more and more...ermmm...end of sightseeing...the next day resume with the official visit...

Brussels still remain as one of the top city that have that capability to make me fat and fatter...owh demmm...a simple walk in Grand Place can add in few grams into my already overweight self...hahaha...lot of my friends doesn't really care to go to Brussels as compared to London...or Paris...or Amsterdam...they usually just skip Brussels which was actually in between these cities...but whatever it is...i have my own stomach-ly personal reason of why i really like the city...now i am back in my home and my chocolate stock from Brussels already finished...then i started thinking again and again...much ado about Brussels...
