There's Something About Paris

Eventhough i had not so great experience in Paris the first time i went there...still i wanted to go there again...maybe coz i am a sucker for great architecture...and Paris is one of the countries in the world that has that...

This time around...the experience is different...i practically know where to go and what to see and what to do and what not...its just the time constraint kinda hold it back a bit...but i enjoyed myself rather tremendously...its one of those trip that will always lingers in my mind even after a while...

Of course...the must do in Paris...the Eiffel Tower...and only now i know that you can actually climb the stairs for EUR5 instead of waiting in the long queue for the lift that would be almost an hour waiting time mind you...cruise along river seine is a perfect way to see all those monuments in Paris which ran along the river line...from Musee de Louvre...Musee de Orsay...Notre Dame...and so many more...they also provided commentaries for the whole ride...some historical background of all those monuments...its rather interesting if you are willing to pay enough attention to it...1 hour ride on the cruise cost about EUR12...its EUR3 more than what i paid in 2009...same company...just in front of the Eiffel Tower...but it was worth the euros...hehehe...

Champs De Elysee has always been a favorite walking area of mine...not only because it boast all those high end designer shops...but its also the panaromic view of it...from Arc De Triomphe...you can literally see the perfect town planning that was done in the past...owh yeah...this time around I do climb up to the top of Arc De Triomphe...EUR7...it was exhausting a bit...hahaha...but the view from up there is of the magnificent view of Paris that one can look...

For the stay in Paris...we stay in the Jardins de la Villa...nice small luxury hotel...hahaha...some splurging a bit...but still within the budget that we had set it out to be...its near Concord La Fayette...and right behind Le Meridien Paris...its a small boutique hotel with a superb deco to match...small room...but comfortable enough...and they even have espresso machine in the room...how cool is that...

Shopping of course...not to be forgotten...take a ride on RER to La Valle stop...walk about 15 mins then you reach the Factory Outlet...and OMG...i am not going to comment further...but make sure you know what you want before you pay otherwise you'll have a massive headache thinking of what you have done...hahaha...then there's Galleries La Fayette...all well known major high-end brands are in within the building...just be prepare to be willing to be demotivated when you take a look at the credit card statement afterwards...hahaha...

Overall...its a nice Paris experience...as opposed to my first experience...this time around its kinda hectic for us...running from one end to another...but for that split second...its just simply a satisfaction to be able to do it...the final picture is the picture of the same place but 3 years apart...hehehe...kinda refresh my memory a bit...of course...like a friend had said...always...there's something about Paris...
